PAOLO D’ALESSIO
Paolo D’Alessio divides his time between the world of cars and that of industrial design.
He was born in the province of Turin in 1957 and, when still a student in architecture, in 1978 he began to work on Formula 1. He started to collaborate with numerous specialized publications and follow the premier category of world motor sport, dedicating particular attention to the evolution of Grand Prix racing car technology.
Since then his articles, accompanied by images and above all by his detailed technical drawings (“cutaways”), have been published in the main specialized magazines all over the world (Italy, France, Spain, England, Germany, United States, China, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Switzerland, etc.).
Over the years he has published numerous books on the evolution and history of racing cars. Not only that, he is the only person in the world to have drawn the “cutaways” of all the Formula 1 Ferraris, from 1948 to 2022, and the main Formula 1 cars, from 1950 to 2022 (we are talking about over 350 “cutaways” and thousands of technical details).
PAOLO D’ALESSIO
At the end of the 1990s, Bolaffi commissioned him with the study of the Official Philatelic Collection of Ferrari, over 150 stamps illustrating the legend of the Prancing Horse manufacturer
This crossover between cars and design continued over the years and, since 1989, he has worked on “corporate image” for famous brands involved in racing competition and more.
Sponsors of the calibre of Martini & Rossi, Philip Morris or Momo, and major manufacturers such as Abarth, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Porsche, Renault and Subaru.
At the beginning of the new millennium he extended his professional interests to the organization of exhibitions of international scope, actively collaborating with the Turin Auto Museum, then with the Louwman Museum in the Netherlands.
In 2022, with Andrea Levy, he created Autolook and the Autolook Awards, an unprecedented event dedicated to image and communication in the world of motorsport.

PAOLO D’ALESSIO
In 1983, after graduating in architecture, he founded Multilinea and began to share his passion for four wheels with industrial design.
With his friend Gianpiero Moretti, the legendary Mr. Momo, he contributed to the creation and growth of Momo Design.
In over thirty years of activity in the industrial design sector, he has put his name to watches, bicycles, means of transport, helmets, eyewear, bags, writing objects, visual displays, air-conditioning units, tractors, lawnmowers, furniture accessories, lamps and packaging.
He cooperated with: Abarth, Agip, Alfa Romeo, Artidea, Aura, Banesto, Bieffe, Bolaffi, Campari, Carioca, Centauria, Diavia, Elvström, EP Company, Fiat, Hasegawa, Honda, Ibea, Infostrada, JBE Sitec, Lancia, Louwman Museum, Marlboro, Martini&Rossi, Martini Racing, Mazda, Merit, Mokart, Momo, Momo Design, Mondadori, Museo dell’Auto di Torino, Philip Morris, Red Travel, Shell, Sparco, Summit, Sustain, Universal.
